Investors snap up Kingfisher Shopping Centre
Redditch’s Kingfisher Shopping Centre has been acquired by a syndicate of private investors, according to CoStar.
The private investors from Running Hare Investment have purchased the 900,000 sq ft site from asset manager Capital & Regional and capital partner Oaktree Capital Management.
With 174 retailers including Primark, Next, TK Maxx and a Vue Cinema alongside 2,600 car parking spaces, the new owners also have the opportunity to repurpose the 82,000 sq ft former Debenhams store.
The deal value is undisclosed, but Savills placed the Kingfisher on the market last year for £50m.
Capital & Regional acquired the shopping centre in Redditch in 2012 in a £130m deal from Scottish Widows Investment Partnership.
